The Pit’s reputation on the live music scene goes from strength to strength and 2024 promises to deliver our best Live Music programme to date as more national and international artists alongside local performers join our increasing pool of talented artists. Our cosy environment lends itself so well to intimate indoor gigs and our rural location is also perfect for those outdoor events on summer days and evenings.

If you are looking for a whole experience where you truly feel immersed in the show, where you can enjoy a quality affordable drink such as our local real ales and want that all served up in a friendly and accessible environment then look no further. Being just 60 capacity you will soon feel part of the family and you can enjoy a beer at the bar with the artists afterwards! Our gigs often offer a mix of seating and standing options to meet your personal preference and a local car park or bed and breakfast is available for those wishing to stay over and perhaps spend some time enjoying the surrounding countryside which includes former home of Lord Byron, Newstead Abbey.

We may be rural but we are very accessible. Being just a stones throw from Newstead Train Station and a 5 minute drive from M1 Junction 27.
All evening gigs and events have an age restriction of 14 and over unless otherwise stipulated.
